Class 1 - Newsletter for Term 3 and 4
Happy New Year!
I hope you have all had a good Christmas and I wish you all a happy and healthy new year! We are starting off the term with our topic ‘A Trip Down Memory Lane.’ Over the next couple of terms we will be exploring our local area in the past, focusing on what Coaley was like in the past, what school was like in the past and then looking at Slimbridge and the important work of Sir Peter Scott.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to come and see me.
Home learning is a great way to reinforce the skills the children will be learning in class as well as show you what they are learning. It is therefore important that all children complete their home learning as it will give them extra opportunities to practice the skills they need to achieve their full potential.
Children will be set home learning tasks across our topic and a piece of Maths work each week. This is explained further in the new home learning letter that can be found inside the new home learning books along with the list of tasks. Please take the time to discuss the learning set with your children early so that it gives you plenty of opportunity to see me if you have any questions.
Home learning will now be set on a Tuesday and will be collected in the following Monday.
